Pricey, but so worth the fun (and flavors!)
If you have never tried any of the amazing flavors of Japanese Kit Kat bars, you haven't lived. If you have tried them, you know there is a world of incredible flavors that those of us outside of Japan sadly don't have access to (why?). Each individually wrapped candy is a dual mini Kit Kat bar, basically like the little mini Halloween sized Kit Kats available in the US. But what's different is the incredible range of true-to-life flavors, from strawberry cheesecake to black tea (yes, it really tastes like tea) to banana to rum raisin to saki to wasabi (yes, it's spicy hot) to melon. There are at least 30 different flavors. The fun is, you don't know which flavors you'll get. These make an awesome, ultra-unique gift for someone who likes Kit Kat. Great stocking stuffer. Yes, they're on the expensive side, but they're coming from Japan (and in Japan, they're more expensive than Kit Kat bars are in the US or Europe, too).

Made by Nestle
Even though I see it advertised a lot I never ordered Japanese candy, and I was wondering w these if they were like safe/approved for sale in the U.S. (because why so many different flavors we can’t get here). So I actually did a bit of sleuthing before I ordered these just to make sure - turns out Japan has a much shorter history w chocolate, since it comes mainly from S America, they didn’t really start importing it until after WW2 and even then it was slow to catch on, especially since Japanese really like their teas and fruit flavors more than chocolate and coffee flavors. Furthermore, although Kit Kat is made by Hersheys in the U.S. (which we all know as mainly a chocolate company), it’s actually made by Nestle in Japan (which makes a wide variety of foods and flavors), thus explaining why they get this huge variety of amazing flavors that the U.S. doesn’t. However Nestle is a perfectly reputable company and that set aside my misgivings about like, is it comparable to US food standard quality. Yes it is. And the flavors were great. I really liked the peach one. I was kinda bummed the bars were SO small (yes it said mini in the description but I didn’t realize how mini) so it didn’t fill the Christmas stocking I was expecting to fill w them. Also I got like 3 of one flavor that made me go “ew” - it was “sweet potato” (which actually in Japan I think they use sweet bean paste not sweet potato, same thing but nobody wants to see the words bean paste on a candy bar - yuck!). But it was actually good, if I hadn’t seen the words sweet potato on the label I would not have guessed that. Anyway, the way these came packaged were like, not in a sealed bag but like the individual bars (yes they were in individual sealed packages) were packed in a cardboard box. Almost like someone hand picked them out of an even larger box and put together this box and, oh by the way the good/best flavors are sold separately more selectively, so if you get this variety pack you might get 3 of the more less-desired flavors like “sweet potato” lol. Still they were good and a fun treat to get for someone who really loves Kit Kats.

A Lot Of Matcha
This had good variety and was a fun experience for our family but there were a ton of matcha flavored kitkats in there, which was unfortunate because no one in our house likes matcha when roughly a third of the box was matcha flavors.

Packaging and variety were not good.
$30 and it came in a tiny cheap box, not at all like the picture and there were only a few different flavors. Supposed to be a gift so I’m going to have to box it myself.
