The Abbaye de Forest tickles the taste buds with fruity impressions of raisins that culminate in a pleasantly zesty, subtly bitter finish. It’s a blonde abbey-style beer characterised by a touch of hops, a good balance of sweet and bitter flavours and a rather pronounced character. The name of the beer refers to the Benedictine Abbaye de Forest that existed from 1106 until 1764, when the abbey was destroyed by a fire. Also, there is a cheese maker from Thoricourt (a small town near to the brewery), who produces a 'beer cheese' using Silly's very-own Abbaye de Forest.
