You want to make sure the measure is disassembled and thoroughly cleaned and dry before use to prevent powder sticking inside measure. You can use alcohol or brake clean, both work well. After cleaning and cycling the measure, this type of powder meters very well. Still a good idea to check every 10 rounds or so on a good scale for accuracy. **Q: are there any adapters for this mesure to make it case activated?** A: It comes with everything but stand. **Q: How does this handle ball and flake powders? Does it leak?** A: No leaks. Mine works very well. I do check every 10th load on my electronic scale and have had no problems. I use my electronic scale for stick powder...not sure if this work good with that. **Q: Does this powder measure come with a stand?** A: It Does NOT come with a Stand. Lyman Makes and offers a Stand specifically for this device. It will also thread into to any 7/8" x 14 Standard Die Holder/Press. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Lyman Products Brass Smith Reloading Powder Measure *by T***G on Reviewed in the United States on 13 March 2024* I am very pleased with this powder measure.I own 4 other powder measures, mostly made from polymer or plastic. This is my first of this type.I wish I had purchased this powder measure long ago. This is everything you could want and more.I have loaded 357 magnum and 45 ACP so far and the measure is right on every time. The quality is great and easy to use.I have nothing but good to say about this powder measure.I also have the Lyman all American 8 press which is my favorite press.I like Lyman products and plan on buying a second Lyman powder measure so I dont have to reset the powder measure when I go from 357 magnum to 45 acp.Maybe I am just Lazy.As some videos show clean the entire unit of the oil and grease it is shipped with to avoid rust.I used engine degreaser to clean the unit. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ excellent value for money *by D***I on Reviewed in Canada on 11 January 2021* Need some deburing on aluminum body, but generally excellent value for money ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Nice though *by A***A on Reviewed in Canada on 6 September 2019* Not very accurate ## Frequently Bought Together - Lyman Products Brass Smith Reloading Powder Measure - Lyman 7767788 Brass Smith Powder Measure Stand, Yellow - Lyman All American 8 Turret Press for Reloading Orange, Silver, One Size --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.pt/products/311291257-lyman-brass-smith-powder-measure-ly7767700](https://www.desertcart.pt/products/311291257-lyman-brass-smith-powder-measure-ly7767700) --- *Product available on Desertcart Portugal* *Store origin: PT* *Last updated: 2026-10-13*
