The yarn feeds out through the tip after passing through a tensioner. I found it completely useless. If you want to use any weight heavier than 4 or 6, it won't go though. Also, the tensioner has no 'grip' and I had to keep stopping and reloading the yarn. Its easy enough to wrap pegs that this is not really necessary. If you're knocking your fingertips on the pegs, you'd be better off wrapping them in electrical tape. **Q: Will this work with Super Chunky/Bulky yarns?** A: It works with the Bernat Blanket yarn which I think is chunky but not the Bernat BIG Blanket yarn. That is too chunky! **Q: Can you put 2 strands of worsted weight yarn in it ?** A: Yes, but the thicker worsted brands could be tight. **Q: How thick a yarn will this hold? I want to use two #5 yarn.** A: Yes it should hold with no problem the No. 5 yarn. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Worth every penny! *by M***A on March 17, 2026* Work great! A definite finger saver for those of us with arthritis. I also found it makes the process go so much faster! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Loom knitting *by C***S on September 24, 2026* Perfect ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Keeps consistent tension on project LOVE! *by F***H on October 12, 2023* I am redoing this review, as I purchased a second one and learned the trick to using it. You must take out the long metal yarn guide that helps you load yarn before use. My yarn kept getting stuck on it and caused my first one to break. Not really my fault because the packaging doesn’t contain any instructions. Now that I am using it properly I have found this to be a perfect tool for looming! Not only does it help keep consistent tension on your yarn it is also an exceptional tool for wrapping the yarn around the loom. I use it on every project! ## Frequently Bought Together - Boye 3702005001 Loom Pen Yarn Craft Tool, 1 Count (Pack of 1), Yellow - Authentic Knitting Board Afghan Knitting Loom & Knitting Kit with Yarn for Blankets (Afghan Loom with Yarn Kit) - Ergonomic Knitting Loom Hook/Tool, Comfort Grip --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.pt/products/31144148-boye-loom-pen-threading-tool](https://www.desertcart.pt/products/31144148-boye-loom-pen-threading-tool) --- *Product available on Desertcart Portugal* *Store origin: PT* *Last updated: 2026-10-08*
