I ride, at the very least, 50 miles a week as I commute to and from work (Queens into Midtown West). Each trip is five miles for a total of ten miles a day. I do this five times a week and I do ride throughout the winter as well, excluding those rare days in which I am not bold enough to brave the conditions (temps in the sub-teens or substantial black ice accumulation, neither of which are a testament to my 'manliness' but more so a stark indicator of my pure hatred of the NYC public transportation system--but i digress). My commute is interspersed with the occasional 'recreational' ride which usually varies from 20 to 50 miles per outing. Needless to say, these tires are being utilized with some regularity.Regarding the primary two facets of any tire, durability and performance, I am please to say that I can recommend this product on both counts. I have had 1 flat in a years time (far better than any other tire I've ever used) and the feel of this tire is far superior, in my opinion, to several other offerings billed more specifically as being 'durable' or 'reinforced'. I will not mention the brands here as it is not my intention to throw shade on any other manufacturers efforts. I am also well aware that many riders have had good success with these other brands. And so we'll leave it at that.I don't wish to discredit the review stating that these tires didn't perform admirably in NYC conditions--I respect the results and the relation of that experience. It just so happens that my own has been quite different. Perhaps I have been lucky--there is certainly plenty of luck involved in the avoidance of flats, whether a rider or reviewer, for that matter, cares to admit it or not.I highly recommend these and most certainly for the price. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good balance of durability, grip, speed, and value *by S***N on Reviewed in the United States on October 17, 2020* I had ridden Rubino Pro III a few years ago, switched to Rubino Pro G+, and for my latest set, switched back to Pro III. From the tests at bicyclerollingresistance.com it seems that the Pro G+ has slightly more rolling resistance and slightly less puncture resistance. I don't have measurements to back that up, but I will say that I think I got 1 flat on my previous Pro III set, and I think I flatted 3 times on the Pro G+ set. Since I've put on the new Pro III set, it seems that my speeds may have gone up marginally. That may be because it's later in the season and my legs are probably stronger than they were earlier in the season but, hey maybe it's the tires?I believe the Pro G+ set wore out sooner than my previous Pro III set, but I don't have exact numbers on that. I'm tracking mileage on a component basis better now, so hopefully I'll get more exact mileage numbers on this set.Overall I've been happy with Vittoria Rubino tires in general, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ trustworthy road bike tire *by D***M on Reviewed in the United States on May 21, 2016* I have bought this tire 2 years in a row because there were absolutely no issues, I mean NONE with flats or even losing any significant amount of tire pressure from ride to ride the first year. I switched to Vittoria Rubino Pro iii 700x25 tires after using Conti's GP 4000 s i/ii 2 years in a row. A top name and top cost tire! Because of the multiple flats on the Conti's, I had lost confidence in bike tires and was ALWAYS expecting a flat on my rides...Bam! Vittoria Rubino Pro iii 700 x 25: After riding the first year in all types of weather conditions and surface types, the Vittoria Rubino Pro iii has increased my confidence in bike tires. So much that I purchased them a second year in a row now about a month ago. I expect the same results-no flats, ability to trust the tire to grip the pavement - wet or dry, they roll well, run over debris with fear of getting a flat. Just wish the 700x25 tires had the racing stripes. Otherwise, with this confidence it makes it easier to focus on other aspects of cycling such as my cadence, breathing, scenery, and overall ride performance. I trust this tire to take me thousands of miles again this year. Do yourself a favor and get these tires. Thanks, Vittoria!Update September 2, 2018: no flats while using this line of tire. These were great and I use the next gen tire pro g+ size 28 tire and Vittoria latex tubes now. No flats with Vittoria in 3.5 years!! Can you believe that?
