This is the table-top radio you have been looking for.
After reading a couple of reviews that dinged the radio for its AM selectivity I decided to listen at night. I live in Tucson and pulled in KFI Los Angeles which is over 400 miles away and KGO and KNBR San Francisco which are 800 miles away. Because its digital you can easily listen to stations that are close together on the AM and FM dial. Fm works great and most of the stations come in clear stereo. While its true that the smaller lithium battery probably only goes about three hours it is rechargeable. Your not having to put 6 or 8 batteries in every so often. This is more than a work radio. Its a great table top radio that you can haul in the kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, garage and take camping. This will pull in distant stations especially at night on the AM band. As a work radio I would probably put the big 4 or 6 amp batteries in it. While it comes with a plug in for versatility and moving from room to room I plan on using batteries. The only downsides are it doesnt get real loud after all its essentially a table top radio and it would have been nice with an earphone plug-in. I want to add I put a 6.3 amp battery in and turned the radio on and ran it 52 hours before the battery ran out.

Bosch PB180 is the go-to radio
The radio has a great sound and the controls are easy to use, intuitive and can be accessed wearing gloves. It's very portable; the handles act as protection as well. Reception is better than most radios this size. I have its Bosch big brother but find I grab this one 95% of the time. It can be hung up out of the way on a wall and it's got an aux. connection for an iPod or similar device. Battery life is amazingly long and it also comes with an adapter to plug into a wall outlet. Excellent price for a unit with all these features.Purchased from Tools & Home Improvement; radio arrived ahead of schedule and securely packaged. Grab this little beauty. You won't be sorry.

great product, cheap power cord
I really like the quality of the radio and the sound. I do remodeling in apts and it is a perfect size. The mute button is in a handy place when I have to silence it. 6 presets make it easy to find my favorites. The only complaint I have is the power cord. the wires broke where it enters the plug after one month. I bought a zippered utility bag to keep it in so it would stay nice. That part doesn't seem well made.

Rugged good quality clear sound
I have used this radio on maybe as many as 50 job sites and sometimes even carry it around my three story house when I am listening to a program and need to do something on a different floor.. It is really easy to move around carry with one finger and yet has a big clear sound. Well built easy to change the battery. The buttons are also easy to get to and I have dropped it a few times without any real damage. If it ever got lost or broke I would want another one or as close as I could get to it as fast as I would want to replace a broken drill.

Not recommended
It's very small first off. It is nice and sounds great but this is no job site radio. It would probly work great in a shop or garage where it never gets moved but handle this thing too much and it's done. It didn't make it 2 days on the job site. It's just not tough enough to handle a work environment.

Quality, sturdy but lacking features
Happy with this purchase that uses same battery (not included) as 18v Bosch tools. Sturdy, stood to some abuse. Sound quality is decent for it's size, antenna reception is good, very easy to use and ergonomic. Handles make it easy to grab.Only reason for 4 star is that you can only connect auxiliary device via cable. No Bluetooth or WiFi like some fancier, but for me I only use the radio.Keep in mind that this does not charge batteries, you need a battery charger. The fact there are smaller devices such as Google home with better sound quality, the fact it doesn't charge batteries (the new Milwaukee does, maybe the bigger newer Bosch does), no Bluetooth connectivity is why 2 stars were removed

Impressed with the Bosch PB180, Radio.
I have had the opportunity to take this radio out around the farm when working on different projects away from electrical power source. It has performed wonderfully. Long battery life and good reception on local radio stations. Sound quality is very good for the price. Seems to be built fairly tough to take the rugged knocks that come from working around the farm. Recommend this radio as a good buy for the price!!

THIS IS A LIE - It is ***NOT a digital radio*** per marketing and reviews
This is NOT a digital radio. That is, it does NOT have a digital tuner. Bosch's advertising is VERY deceptive when it says "advanced digital signal processing." A number of positive reviews also include references to this being a "digital" radio. But this is an ANALOG radio, complete with poor reception and lots of static. Bosch should be ASHAMED of themselves. I am returning the radio, and reporting this corporate lie to Amazon.
