It has been on for several month, thru the hot part of the summer, and it cools nicely. I was surprised to see the screen on the old orifice was almost plugged with some white residue It looked about like paper on it. So I was glad I got the kit and replaced it. My old compressor did not fail inside the compressor. But the pulley (clutch) bearing wore out and was wiggling around. Glad it did not mess up my serpentine belt.
