I know because I've this on my motorcycles tires for about two years and use it nearly everyday for transportation and never had any problem with the tires maintaining traction. This is the only product I will use on my motorcycle tires that does always work and is very safe. **Q: Can I use this product if I used a water based protector two weeks ago on my dashboard?** A: 'Protectants', water base or not, all are solvent based and that solvent and silicones penetrate the substrate. These element will slowly bloom back out with use, weather, heat, and time. Unfortunately with interior plastics not being exposed to weather they will hold the solvents and silicone much longer. So. Better not to use Renew-Pro DASH at this time. I would suggest cleaning often to help get that sheet out. 6 months and your interior maybe clear of the the greasy protectant. **Q: How to remove the product?** A: Ammonia mix into a general cleaner and wipe with a microfiber towel. Ammonia will break the polymer bonds. If you want to reapply the surface must be free of 'protectant' residue, i.e. silicone, oil, solvents. Hope this helps. **Q: can this be used on the interior of the car and would i need more than one bottle for a van?** A: Dash is the interior product yet Satn is a good second to that. Satn will have slight gloss effect and will be permanent on interior. Make sure to apply to a clean, silicone ( protectant ) free and COOL surface. I followed the cleaning instructions and also applied the product multiple times, wiping off after each time. When I drove the car to the store and within 30 minutes the dashboard was very shiny and had that sticky look. It was more sticky than it was before trying this product. I repeated all this a week later, with a generous application as recommended. Same results as before.
