I had 28 units to change and a rubber or plastic hammer is great for snapping the beads back into place. It’s a small and lightweight hammer, very easy to use and suited the purpose very well. But, it’s hardly a precision tool. Both the yellow and black ends screw off, so it might be possible to replace them, but it’s such a cheap item, why bother? The black rubber end only withstood a few bangs before it started to splay. The yellow plastic end is far more resilient and didn’t leave any marks on the window beading. I bought this as a single project use item and it was perfect for that, but it won’t be a regular use item.
