I considered buying a 4-cup coffee maker but then I saw this and thought it would be perfect. I've been using one of these to make coffee in my home for over 6 months at this point and am very happy with the coffee I make with this.On quality, I will say this: I bought 2 of these to use at home. I live alone and used one all the time but after about a month, the cone part broke off the bottom disk that covers the cup. Apparently the solder points weren't great and broke after using it for a while. I started using the second one regularly and it's been working fine since then (around 4 months or so now?). Although I was rather pissed about the first one breaking, the second one has stood up to long usage so it seems like these are a good quality in general. Pour about 3-4T water to try to get a moment of steep. Then SLOWLY pour remaining water to fill cup to where I want it! All the coffee drips down sides or straight on through. None on counter! Run some through again, if not strong enough. I LOVE IT!!NOTE: Did not notice til December, when we ordered another set, that I did not get the coffee measure with my original order. The scoop is just right for making a single cup o joe. I use a paper filter though and this makes cleaning more easy. If there was anything I would change to it would be; make the rim on the bottom of the filter stick out more so that the filter might not slip off the cup top. While mine has not fallen off the cup the this one might also the cushioned grip makes it easy to hold while filling with hot water and removing to empty.
