Coming from India, Chess spread across Persia and was introduced to Europe by the Arabs between 700 and 900 AD. It was set down in rules a few centuries later. Draughts was invented in France around about 1000 AD and spread across the world in numerous different versions. This set includes rules for the English, Italian, Spanish, and German versions, all of which are played on the same board. Less demanding than Chess or Draughts, but equally as fun is Backgammon, There are many different versions of this game and the rules for the English game are included.
