I've had this for a few months now and have had no issues with it at all. I have ridden in heat, rain, and cold with it. It is easy to wire in and allows me to not have to disconnect my USB charger to prevent the battery from draining (many of them keep pulling some juice, especially if you have a wireless charging head on your bike. The unit will stay active for one hour after I turn off the bike (so I can still charge the phone for a bit) but automatically turns off after that. It also has a meter that gives you an idea of the battery condition. The end of the chord where you plug your device's USB cable into has a gasket around it that is easy to plug into but does a great job at keeping water and dirt out. Be aware that the unit is one continuous chord with the power box in the middle. Not a big deal, but good to be aware of when you are planning how to run the wire through your bike.
