It didn’t happen as quickly as I wanted.I’m disabled and the first time I cleaned my toilet I needed to use it before it had dried. I left a mess that I wasn’t able to clean up right away. It became increasingly difficult to clean it for months. A simple bowl cleaning I could do, as well as under the seat, but I never got back to it when it dried and then a new mess.Finally after 10 months someone else came and cleaned my entire bathroom, and after it dried I was able to finally attach this wonderful piece of plastic. Attached as directed, I only needed one, but I had purchased a 4 pack because I expected it to fall off or that I would ruin it by attaching poorly, etc. I was able to get it attached and before the day was out I was sitting on the 🚽. The product worked fabulously!I didn’t have any spray out the front or dribbling over the edge onto the floor. It all stayed in the bowl where it belongs. My floor hasn’t looked so clean and dry since before becoming disabled. I expect the 3M glue to hold it in place for a long time. If it doesn’t, I have 3 more backups. I shouldn’t need to remove or replace it any time soon.I’ve read others saying the “mess” could get in-between the tabs and the main plastic, but if installed correctly I don’t see how this could happen. I’ll return and update this review should I ever experience something like this in the future. Another reason I ordered several is I thought I could be making a mess out the sides but I haven’t ever come across any evidence of it happening.I suggest buying one for everyone that has experienced the messes I have. Cleaning the floor afterwards isn’t fun. So stop doing it often with a guard that keeps it in the bowl! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This is completely clear plastic. Ignore the red pieces…they are removed for installation *by I***R on May 27, 2023* This looks like it is the best we have bought yet. We have tried many…suction cups, other sticky products. Like those, this does not fit well on the standard toilet seat, but you CAN make it work.I’ve just cleaned up another “accident” (as he says, cleanup on aisle 45, because if we didn’t laugh, we’d cry), and I figured I might as well try one more product. I took it out of the package, and started figuring out where it would fit. As usual, I first tried it out backwards. Then, I got it right. Then, I decided to cut off one third, because of the bumpers on the seat. After holding it in place, and closing the seat several times, I figured out the right placement, removed the red pieces, and gently stuck it on. Closed the lid, removed and replace the left side, and stuck in on hard. Closed the lid, and voila!I think this one is better. Now, we see how long it lasts.For anyone who has read this far, and is dealing with a “dribbler”, pair this with a pee stick for when he stands to pee, and you’ll have a much easier time in the bathroom. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Be certain of proper positioning BEFORE securing with it's adhesives strips removed. *by D***G on May 25, 2024* Had the same problem as "Happy Homemaker" in previous review. It required pliers and putty knife to get the misplaced unit removed. After learning my lesson, installation of the new guard was easy and I have faith that it will stay stuck to the bottom seat. I like this product as it does the job for which it was made.
