I do not find a need for the stencils, because they are too thin for the way I prefer my eyebrow shape, but this isn't an issue. The colors come a bit lighter than shown, but they are perfect because the one on the bottom is actually perfect for most blondes, the middle is great for brunettes, and the black is for dark haired people or brunettes with thicker brows. I use the medium one that's in the middle, and I love it!!! It's so easy to use the powder and doing my eyebrows is fun now! It's a small package so it is easy to travel with, but after months and months of using it every single day, it looks as though I had barely made a dent because the product is very pigmented and you only need a little bit on the brush. It's great for filling in areas where you lack hair, and also just overall darkening. I use the spooly brush that comes with it to brush my eyebrows before use and after to even out the color.
