## Description

This universal clamping system allows you to mic up a guitar cabinet in an easy and revolutionary way. The spring-loaded clamping arm makes the clamp suitable for almost any type of cabinet and securely fastens to the side or top of a cabinet or combo amplifier. Thanks to its adjustable edge grip, the clamp can be adjusted to fit snugly onto recessed edges. The rigid boom is finely adjustable in both boom angle and microphone depth – this ensures a far more precise and secure mic placement as opposed to using a gooseneck-based clamping system or conventional mic stand.

Review: Compact, no-fuss mic placement for your amp. - I got the short model for the shallow cabinet of my Mesa Rectoverb. It holds the microphone snugly and securely, same place every time in just seconds. folds up compactly, hardly takes up any space in my gig bag. It's built sturdily of metal, I expect it'll last many years.
Review: It Might Work For You - This mic holder is a mixed bag of results for me. I wanted it to be my end-all solution for micing my 1x12 cabinet, but it isn't. I have the American Sound 1x12 empty cabinet that is sold here on desertcart. Its front is gently sloped, and it is covered in some type of carpeted material. The only way I can get a reliable grip and position with the Gravity is to clamp it at the top of the side of the cabinet where it's mostly square in design. Then the arm slightly rolls to the side a bit and the mic connector arm drops down on an angle and I can hang the mic from above the speaker. It's sturdy enough like that, but looks like it is going to fall since the arm hangs on an angle. Using the arm and mic this way, I can get to mid dust cap and back to the speaker edge. I have only tried an SM-57, a SLC-75 and a B906 so far. There is no way this arm could hold a heavy mic, so I cannot even expect it to hold my Tone Bone 500 ribbon mic which is a true disappointment for my goals. If you connect the arm to the top of the cabinet, it connects sturdily. But then the mic adjuster bar adjusts vertically instead of horizontally. Is this a big deal? Maybe not to some, but I use the arm so I can capture impulse responses. I need the ability to move horizontally, so using the top connection approach, I have to pull the tension off, re-square the rig and try again. It's not ideal for my workflow at all to use vertically and adjust the horizontal position. I think the arm is built well, but it's probably not the right tool for my impulse response capture use case. If you have a square cab and you just want to mount a static-placed arm, I think this tool meets that need quite well. The price is high for this arm. My AmpClamp (from a different company) was only around $40 USD and it slides well horizontally (but it's limited for setting distances away/close to the speaker instead of horizontal positions).

Terrible design doesn’t hold even a sm57 almost unusable just don’t even look at this mount wrong or it will twist and slide out of alignment
