Use these thumb studs to add onto a folding knife blade (like a Buck 110) to make it a one handed opener. Compare these to other bolt on thumb studs for quality of materials and construction. Works like it should Review: Works Well with the Right Knife - This works very well with my Silver Stag Lion Liner Lock knife. It also works ok on my Otter Mercator brass lock back knife, but not the steel one. It did not work at all on my Buck 110 folder, which according to the symbol on the blade was made in 1996. But it's just too thick for the thumb stud to stick out far enough from the blade. Some other knives I tried it on, I couldn't get it to work. It all depends on the positioning, the thickness of the knife scales, and the stiffness of the opening mechanism.
