The metal clamp is made of durable and sturdy metal, which can be securely fixed on any desk up to 40mm(1.57in). The plastic tray can be a great working platform for keyboard, tablets, laptops, and other electronic devices. The sliding rails on both sides of the tray allow full adjust-ability with smooth movement. The tray can easily be stored under the desk while not in use. I was pleased with the quality, with the ease of assembly, and with the perceived sturdiness of it. Unfortunately, it did not work with my desk. The shelf itself should have fit perfectly, but with the support bars factored in, it was just too big. So I loved it while I had it and wanted to love it forever, but I ultimately sent it back.
