It’s good to remember that over time acrylic paint can wear off leather surfaces that experience a lot of wear or that flex a lot. To help reduce this we suggest painting on a coat very thinly first (this allows the paint to adhere to the leather better than a thicker coat) and then applying a second coat once the first is dried to create the thickness/color you’re after. It also helps to clean the surface of the leather before painting to make sure the paint can bond properly with the leather.
