The 512GB capacity is enough for basic office use but will probably be a bit limiting if you're looking to install more than one AAA game on it. I've not noticed and issues with heat in use but I'm only using it for basic tasks like web browsing and some light office tasks. Games run faster and are less "choppy" than they were, so that's a bonus. It’s actually massively over-spec’d for my use case - you can’t get much lighter duty for an NVMe SSD than a read cache - and of course it’s handled the job effortlessly. It’s been running 24 hours a day with zero issues and has made day-to-day interactions with my NAS noticeably snappier over my 2.5Gb network.
