**Q: Can you use this on paper?**
A: Yes, it could be used with paper if you are presumably looking to apply metal leaf to paper.

**Q: Can this product be used to to apply gilding to canvas?**
A: Yes, the gilding size can be used on canvas.

**Q: I am silverleafing a metal lantern.  What kind of adhesive should I use?  .  I would prefer something that brushes on.**
A: For this application, we would recommend the water based gilding size rather than the eglomise glass gilding adhesive.
It is applied using a brush.

**Q: How do you avoid brush strokes when applying the sizing? My frame surface was smooth after gesso and bole steps but then the size added brush marks.**
A: To apply the size more smoothly, you could use an airbrush. 
You would need to thin the size down so it can be sprayed by adding approximately 30% more water when mixing.
