Is it dishwasher safe?** A: Not available in the oven Dishwashing is possible Thank you **Q: Is the basket 11 x 8.6 x 2 as described?** A: the top is 11" but there is a taper so it measures 9.5 and 7.7 at the bottom of the basket, yes 2" tall We use it in a small ultrasonic machine, works great **Q: is this basket heat resistant?** A: Depends on how hot. I use it to cool coffee beans that are around 350 to 400 degrees and I have no issues. **Q: What is the mesh size of holes, can one put quinoa in it and does the rim lay flat so nothing gets inside for cleaning? Is it easy to clean?** A: Hello I measured the mesh size myself and it's about 0.3 to 0.4cm. I don't know the exact size of quinoa, so it may be difficult to tell you, but it may be inconvenient to use. I think cleaning will change depending on how you clean it. But you can dry it well after using it. Thank you. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Rectangle strainer stainless steel mesh *by B***N on Reviewed in the United States on July 13, 2024* Perfect for what we need- holds fresh produce such as sweet potatoes, etc., until we are ready to eat them. Would reorder ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Love it for washing bettiers *by M***S on Reviewed in the United States on May 20, 2024* Good quality & it works perfect for washing berries & letting them sit to dry ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Works great for my needs. *by S***N on Reviewed in the United States on July 27, 2023* I got this to use with my smoker for things like cheese, hard boiled eggs, fish, nuts, etc. The idea is to get the most smoke on your foods as you can and this prevents having to flip things and such. I also have smoke mats that work great but with things like smoked hard boiled eggs, they roll all around and fly off and it just sucks.I make smoked fish dip and just shred fish in to chunks and toss in the basket to smoke. Smoked deviled eggs, smoked nuts, smoked cream cheese, other smoked cheeses all work great with this basket. (note cheeses I cold smoke)If it can roll around or will fall through the mesh smoker mats, try this and you will be happy. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.pt/products/32898250-rectangle-strainer-stainless-steel-mesh-l11-d8-6-h2-inch](https://www.desertcart.pt/products/32898250-rectangle-strainer-stainless-steel-mesh-l11-d8-6-h2-inch) --- *Product available on Desertcart Portugal* *Store origin: PT* *Last updated: 2026-10-29*
