Review: Great air compressor - Works perfectly for all my needs. I like the portability the wheels offer. My previous compressor had to be carried surround and was heavy and awkward, and only had 4 gallon capacity. Review: Capacitor problems - Had this compressor for several years now and has worked fine for around the house usage. However for the amount of use it has not held up very well. I have had to replace the capacitor and it worked for awhile but back to the same issue again. Again I only use this a handful of times per year airing up tires or blowing out filters, nothing stressful on the compressor. Not impressed with this item. ## Features - 135 Max PSI 6.0 gallon tank with oil-lubricated pump - 3.8 SCFM delivered @ 90PSI enables long run time with quick recovery - Pressure gauges angled up toward user for accurate pressure adjustments - Ball drain valve allows for quick and thorough tank draining - Large flat-free tires and pull handle allow for easy mobility ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B01KBWCMIO | | Additional Features | Portable | | Brand Name | DEWALT | | Capacity | 6 Gallons | | Customer Reviews | 3.2 3.2 out of 5 stars (28) | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00885911457705 | | Included Components | 1) 6-gal Compressor | | Item Type Name | DEWALT D55166 6-Gallon Horizontal Portable Electric Air Compressor, 135 Max PSI | | Manufacturer | DEWALT | | Manufacturer Part Number | D55166 | | Manufacturer Warranty Description | 1 year limited warranty | | Maximum Horsepower | 0.13 Horsepower | | Maximum Power | 0.13 Horsepower | | Maximum Pressure | 135 Bars | | Model Name | FBA_D55166 | | Model Number | D55166 | | Motor Horsepower | 0.125 horsepower | | Power Source | Corded Electric | | Recommended Uses For Product | Tire Inflation | | Style | Portable | | UPC | 885911457705 | | Unit Count | 1.0 Count | | Voltage | 120 Volts | ## Product Details - **Brand:** DEWALT - **Power Source:** Corded Electric - **Recommended Uses For Product:** Tire Inflation - **Special Feature:** Portable - **Voltage:** 120 Volts ## Images ![DEWALT D55166 6 gallon Horizontal Portable Electric Air Compressor - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61L6ppeNiQL.jpg) ![DEWALT D55166 6 gallon Horizontal Portable Electric Air Compressor - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61afQ1ySMbL.jpg) ![DEWALT D55166 6 gallon Horizontal Portable Electric Air Compressor - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61ycpwtRavL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: Is this powerful enough to blow out inground pool lines and sprinkler lines?** A: It achieves the PSI to blow out lines. I like the portability the wheels offer. My previous compressor had to be carried surround and was heavy and awkward, and only had 4 gallon capacity. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Capacitor problems *by A***O on September 5, 2024* Had this compressor for several years now and has worked fine for around the house usage. However for the amount of use it has not held up very well. I have had to replace the capacitor and it worked for awhile but back to the same issue again. Again I only use this a handful of times per year airing up tires or blowing out filters, nothing stressful on the compressor. Not impressed with this item. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good Value. *by L***T on January 10, 2017* This compressor is a good quality product for the price. I purchased it to use for tire filling and occasional light duty air nailer use. I have other compressors for more intense uses such as abrasive blasting, framing nailers, etc. It seems to be well made and is from a reputable company that stands behind their warranty. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.pt/products/33087769-dewalt-d55166-6-gallon-horizontal-portable-electric-air-compressor](https://www.desertcart.pt/products/33087769-dewalt-d55166-6-gallon-horizontal-portable-electric-air-compressor) --- *Product available on Desertcart Portugal* *Store origin: PT* *Last updated: 2026-10-07*
