We found a way to make removing cakes and pies from the pan a regular cat walk! Unique quick release lever scoops cakes and pies free in one sweep. One can still use a parchment disk round insert liner but the arm on the pan bottom allows for easy release of the cake after rotating the arm around the pan after cake has cooled. Parchment inserts can be cut to s form if you do boy have any on hand. I prefer that to non stick pan for certain cakes. To each their own.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Are they non-stick?**
A: No, they don’t need to be as you slide the little lever under your cake, which releases your cake with no trouble

**Q: are these cake pans or do they have sloped sides like a pie pan ??**
A: The walls are slightly slanted, not like a pie pan though.   The top diameter is 9".  The bottom diameter is 8 5/16.  So, if you are expecting straight sides (as I did - based on a previous response) you will be disappointed.    There is another posting of a different pan where both the upper and bottom of the pan measures 9" if that is what you are looking for (pack of 4).

**Q: Are they aluminum or stainless steel?**
A: They're lightweight so I think they're aluminum and not stainless steel

**Q: Are the sliders removable for easy cleaning?**
A: No. The sliders are permanently mounted on the pans and not removable. However, the pans are easily cleaned by dishwasher or hand. Unlike other baking pans, very little left over food product remains. These are a joy to use. My Mother used them and gave some to me as a Wedding present 36 years ago. Mine finally wore out about 4 years ago. After searching for them, I finally found these to my delight.
