That all changed when a problematic neighbour moved in. Without warning or reason, he caused criminal damage to our property and car, and even broke into our home by forcing open the patio doors. This deeply unsettling experience led us to seek a reliable security solution. On the advice of the police, we installed the Ring Alarm and multiple Ring cameras to ensure our entire property was covered. The results were immediate. The cameras captured crystal-clear footage of multiple incidents, which ultimately played a crucial role in a legal case. Thanks to the video evidence, our neighbour was convicted of criminal damage and assault.Beyond the courtroom, the Ring system gave us something we hadn’t had in months—peace of mind. Knowing that our home was protected, monitored, and backed by reliable video evidence allowed us to finally sleep soundly at night. The Ring Floodlight Cam Wired Plus is a fantastic choice if you're looking to boost your home security without breaking the bank. It offers 1080p HD video, motion-activated LED floodlights, and two-way talk, all in one sleek, easy-to-use package.Setup was straightforward—just hardwired it into my existing outdoor light fixture. Once installed, it delivers nonstop protection with customisable motion zones, so I only get alerts for the areas that matter most (like the driveway and garden). The 2000-lumen floodlights are incredibly bright, and I appreciate the built-in security siren for added peace of mind.Through the Ring app, I can see, hear, and talk to visitors from anywhere, day or night. It works seamlessly with other Ring devices, and I added a Ring Chime indoors so I can hear alerts even without my phone. It also integrates well with Alexa—super handy for voice commands and quick updates. You’ll need a Ring Protect subscription (sold separately) to save and review footage, but I find it worth it for the extra features like 180-day video storage and person alerts.✅ Pros:• Clear 1080p HD video, day and night• Super-bright 2000-lumen LED floodlights• Customisable motion detection• Built-in siren for emergencies• Great app + Alexa integration❌ Cons:• Requires hardwiring (basic DIY skills or electrician)• Ring Protect subscription needed for full featuresOverall, this is a solid and affordable upgrade to your home’s security setup. If you’re looking for an alternative to a bulky CCTV system, the Floodlight Cam Wired Plus delivers excellent performance and ease of use. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ wiring is a little fiddley but got there after a little time *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 20 January 2026* really happy with the product.
