I had 2 overseas, one for home and one for office, but I gave them away when I left. I loved them so much, I bought a third when I came home. But I took that overseas and left it for when I return. So, I bought this one for while I'm back at home. It won't open. It's like someone glued the grinder to the bottom. I live in a very arid environment, I thought after a few days, maybe the wood would dry and then I could unscrew it. Didn't happen. I even left it outside during a Red Flag warning, still won't budge, not anything. This makes me sad, because I love this model of grinder, the hopper is suitable size, and I've never had a problem with the hopper door.
