It's got that sweet vanillin note you want for old paper, a touch of dust, very subtle acrid note for old ink. But when first applied, it's just absolutely overpowering black pepper and nothing else. Eye-watering, like sticking your face directly into a spice bottle and blowing it straight up your nose.
