You have that little space behind the filler panels by the kitchen or bathroom sink that's perfect to tuck away those little things that you don't want to leave sitting out (drain stopper, sponge, toothpaste, etc.). I installed these at our last house and my wife said she really missed them in our new house. Got this set and 45 minutes later, they are installed in the kitchen. She loves it! Instructions say to drill a pilot hole for each screw. I highly advise pilot holes. Helps avoid splitting the wood. Another thing that helped was running a screw into the pilot holes on the cabinet for the hinges. Then back the screws out to install the hinge. Will this fit? I'm concerned the size of the 2 hinges plus the tray will exceed 12 inches. Thanks!** A: Good question! I just measured. Each hinge takes up 1/4", which adds 1/2" to the 10-7/8" tray, for a total of 11-3/8"' which will give you more than 1/2" to spare if you only have 12". So you are good to go! **Q: How deep are the hinges and / or tray when closed ( how much space is needed beyond the inside of the cabinet)?** A: The trey is 2" deep. The mounting bracket also is 2" deep. Mounted flush to my 3/4" thick cabinet, 1.25" sticks past the cabinet. **Q: Are there two pair of hinges?** A: Hello! To be honest, I really do not know!
