I used 3m 77 and it melted the foam then failed** A: I know it will work on Styrofoam but I have not tried it on upholstery foam. In my case, the steel deck was the ceiling, so I supported the PS board against the steel deck with two wood T's to give the adhesive to come up to strength. worked fine. **Q: can I use this to seal the area between a wall air conditioner and the sleeve it sits in?** A: No do not use this. This is an adhesive, won't seal gaps.
