This leads to lower ROI from SAP investment and at the same time materials and inventory planners continue to work tirelessly to bring sanity to logistics and supply chain operations. The efforts, time and costs to develop various inventory reports significantly add to the costs of maintaining SAP system. The book “Inventory Management and Optimization in SAP ERP” explores and exposes inventory management’s latent features to show how so many of them can be put to better use for materials and inventory planning, management and optimization. From covering some of the common inventory management business processes to master data settings that control inventory business processes and finally an extensive list of reports, KPIs, analytics and several SAP add-ons (to address the current reporting limitations in SAP ECC) are all given significant coverage in the book.
