If you can answer all of those questions as yes then contact the company or send them back and buy a factory filter. **Q: How many water filters are there in this package?** A: There are three filters in the package, enough for at least 1 1/2 years. **Q: I only have an ice maker. Do I need to do anything special upon install?** A: you will need to toss out the first few loads of ice, it will have very noticeable charcoal residue. Goes away quickly as I recall.
