As advertised. Review: It works, but be careful because technically it's toxic - I have a water fountain/feature of about 100 gallons that was plagued with algae. I used a three-pronged approach to tackle it. 1) I put a small handful of these crystals in the fountain. 2) I scrubbed the algae off the large rocks using a brass brush. 2) I put a small barley straw bale into the fountain. After about a week, all of the algae was gone. I'm hoping that the barley straw will keep it away from now on. My only concern is that copper sulfate is technically toxic. Fortunately, during the winter there aren't that many wild animals about, and they don't drink much from the fountain anyway. I do wonder whether the copper sulfate just circulates over and over through the fountain, since it doesn't evaporate and I don't think it gets absorbed by the rocks. So maybe the lever of copper sulfate will stay the same forever in the fountain. I'll be using it for my drains to kill the roots that are growing in my plumbing. This the first time buying from this company but I'll definitely buy from them again. The crystals seem super pure and great quality. My only complaint/observation was that the crystals are much bigger than I was expecting. Nothing in the derails or on the reviews mentioned how big they were. They'll probably work better for what I'm doing. I was expecting aquarium gravel size but these are quarter size chunks mixed with some smaller sized pieces. Not nessicarily a bad thing just though it should be mentioned.
