In fact the weight is enough that I would advise use of the dedicated brackets that are sold for this speaker, but unfortunately this wasn't possible in my case and so I have to rely on the wallboard to support it. The speaker is made for this, so it shouldn't be a problem, but I wish I had used the brackets for extra security. The other caution I would add is that this speaker is very deep and you need to make sure you have the necessary clearance in the cavity where you want to mount them. There is no way this would fit in a normal 2x4 wall. My one small complaint is that both of the units I purchased had a small identical defect in the center of the grill which is due to the way the product is packed. NHT should fix this. ### ⭐⭐ Damaged product *by R***T on Reviewed in the United States on April 6, 2019* Received speaker and had it professionally installed. One of the tweeter and the grill were dented. Unfortunately, the woofer did not work either. ### ⭐⭐ Defective product... No warranty outside US *by E***E on Reviewed in the United States on October 1, 2015* I purchased four of them for my new house. Let's be honest : the sound quality is very good. My problem is not there. One of the 4 speakers were defective out of the box. As there's no warranty outside US (I live in Belgium), I just had to purchase another one. My loss is 546 USD (there are almost 200 USD charges for shipping and customs fees).
