This discrete IR lamp will illuminate the whole room with total invisible 940nM wave length spectrum. Increase the brightness and range for your security camera with night vision capability. Requires 12VDC, 300mA or more, power supply (not included). Indoor use only.Works best with SCS 3.7mm, 940nM IR Filtered Pinhole Lens Super compact yet strong 940nM IR lamp at low power consumption (min: 12VDC/300mA). As long as your camera is equipped with 940nM filter lens, this IR lamp will let the camera see in total dark like a daytime with zero glow from the IR (850nM filter will work but the IR effect will be lessened by about 50%).The lamp will provide 120deg wide angle beam to cover the whole room. Comes with a light sensor that will turn the light ON and OFF automatically. Especially slick for "covert" application as mine is - I've purchased several of these and am planning to buy more right now. For the reviewers complaining that these are "not bright enough" - when compared to 850nm products these will seem much less bright, yes - but these are undetectable to the naked eye - and when compared with other 940nm products out there - these are right up there at the top as far as brightness + more versatile because they're not "pre-packaged" with a housing + leading the entire pack on the price front (and customer service too apparently, based on a few other reviews I just read)... **Q: What size project box would be appropriate for this?**
A: Bi idea, i used it to help a camera that had a night shot but not enough came from the cameras IR emmiter.  This really did the trick

**Q: Dimension in image says 2.5x2"; in the product description it says 3.4 x3.1x2". Which one is true? I'm interested in a slim one - how thick is this?**
A: The one I received is 2.5"x2"x .75".    It is .5" thick for most of the board but thicker where the power line plugs in the back and another connection mount.      Hope that helps.

**Q: does this heat up?**
A: Where you able to figure out why only one bulb worked? This is the same thing that is happening to mine. I am wondering if its not getting enough power?

**Q: You state the minimum voltage is 12vdc/300ma, and "higher amp (300ma or more) does not hurt the lamp". what is the maximum rated amperage of the unit?**
A: There is no max amp, the unit will only draw as much power as it needs which is about 300mA

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Bought it for a Wyze Cam Pan

Simple and works. I'd estimate illumination is ~10 feet. I was hoping it would illuminate the back yard but not strong enough. But it will extend the lighting in a room. Note, the Wyze Cam Pan is 940nm. The Wyze Cam is 840nm and won't work with this light.
