This set is perfect for better golfers looking for great equipment and lightweight, premium bag with head covers. Review: Excellent Beginner's Set from Wilson - Review for: Profile Platinum (Grey/Black) First off a slight rant - the 'COLOR' options are not really color choices, but totally different series of clubs. I am not sure why Wilson decided to list various sets as just color options on desertcart. Its unfortunate, as it can be misleading and confusing, and the ratings for all the products are one big mess of mixed reviews. I am reviewing the Profile Platinum (Grey/Black) set. This desertcart-only set from Wilson is an excellent choice. Especially for someone who is getting into golf and the second-hand sets are ready to be retired. Overall these clubs are very forgiving, are light weight (so much so I was worried when I first hefted the shipping box fearing something would be missing, but it was all there!), and a great value. All of the grips feature markings that make it easy to line-up the clubs and hands to the target. The bag is very lightweight and has all the features you would want from a stand bag. The zippers and straps feel l like they'll hold up nicely. One pocket is even lined. No rain cover is provided, that would have been a nice bonus but not a deal breaker. The Driver looks great and it and the fairway wood and hybrid all have their own head covers. I have put these through some use and some serious swings too, even some horrible misses digging up dirt, as well as hitting the ball on parts not directly on the face, and they have held up nicely. Some scuffs and scratches but nothing that would hinder their performance. The irons seem to be very forgiving with large sweet spots. Some light scratching on the face after some use but again nothing serious. The wedges (PW and SW) round out the set nicely. At times it might be nice to have a lower iron than a 6, (say a 5 & 4 would be helpful), but between the 6 and the hybrid, you can easily make do around the course. Wilson is honestly an underrated brand in the world of golf. They have been making golf equipment for a very long time and seem content to be quiet about it. For that reason, they have lost out on some of the prestige of the other big names, but they can keep up with the big boys in nearly all features that matter and often do so for a better price. Or will it come back in stock?** A: don't know, you need to talk to amazon **Q: Do people prefer these clubs or the deep red?** A: they're both very good, and the specs, etc are similar, so really boils down to which looks/design/bag features you prefer **Q: Are these game improvement clubs?** A: For one of the sets on this page - The Men's Profile SGI Set - SGI Stands for Super Game Improvement. The others might not be as focused on that aspect of design, but most beginner/intermediate clubs are designed around "Game Improvement" and making bad hits looks good with more forgiving faces and designs than "pro" gear. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent Beginner's Set from Wilson *by E***O on 7 May 2021* Review for: Profile Platinum (Grey/Black) First off a slight rant - the 'COLOR' options are not really color choices, but totally different series of clubs. ## Frequently Bought Together - WILSON Men's Profile Platinum Complete Golf Club Package Set - Right Handeded, Stand Bag - WILSON Profile Distance Golf Ball 36 pack - Callaway Golf Weather Spann Glove --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.pt/products/345260830-mens-complete-golf-club-package-sets-ultra-ultra-plus-deep](https://www.desertcart.pt/products/345260830-mens-complete-golf-club-package-sets-ultra-ultra-plus-deep) --- *Product available on Desertcart Portugal* *Store origin: PT* *Last updated: 2026-10-21*
