Instead of the Futur, I would compare Bevel to the Merkur 34c, in that both the 34c and the Bevel are on the mild side and beginner friendly. If you have a course beard, you would struggle to reach BBS with this razor—although it is possible with maybe 3.5 passes, a Feather, and impeccable technique. **Q: Can you use other safety razor blades (non bevel) with this safety razor?** A: Yes you can.
