I've had some last much longer than others, simply because I was using it more and/or cutting thicker materials. **Q: When you need to replace the blade, do you have to purchase a another plastic housing unit or is there a metal blade replacement/refill?** A: The blade and blade housing all one complete unit. When the blade gets dull, you replace the entire thing. **Q: All questions and customer reviews look to be a year old. Has the quality issue been corrected?** A: I have Never had an issue with quality **Q: The Silhouette site says that this blade's max depth is 1mm, not 2mm. Is this listing simply wrong or is the Silhouette site wrong?** A: I checked the packaging, and it doesn't tell anywhere (even the small print).
