It sounds like they want you and your body to get used to the sleeve. I will admit, I ended up wearing my sleeve longer when I first wore it (over an hour) when I was playing basketball. This may be the reason why my legs were hurting worse than without a sleeve - simply because my leg was NOT used to it. Their customer service has since reached out and explained everything clearly. Not only that, they went the extra mile to make sure my questions were answered. It appears they truly do care about their customers, and very attentive because they are a small business owned company. Based off the information that was later given to me, I would recommend you try the sleeves out if you have shin splints. Be sure to start out with short time (15 min) and increase the time day by day adding 10 minutes.----ORIGINAL:I actually ended up returning this product because I felt like it did the complete opposite for my shin splints. When I took them off after exercising (playing basketball), my legs were throbbing more than if I wasn't even wearing them. There customer service appeared to not care what I had to say.
