Review: Smoky and Spicy - Just Perfect - For many years I have been growing chillies specifcally to make chilli Jam and paste. This paste has now left me with a dilemma. Given that it is everything I have been trying to achieve, what is the point in me growing chillies anymore? Anyway - For me it has the perfect balance of smoky and spicy. I like things on the spicier side and am often disappointed with many products. This has a kick but does not blow your head off and settles to a lovely smoky taste. I use it directly in sandwiches and wraps but have also tried it in a chili Con Carnie and fajitas and it has worked wonderfully. They also send you an electronic recipe book which is a nice touch. Personally I cannot fault it which is why I bought this 3 pack after having bought a single to try it.

**Q: What is the sodium and fat amount per serving?**
A: 2 grams of fat, equalling 2.6% of daily fat and 10 milligrams of sodium equalling 0.43% of daily sodium.  That's what it says on the containers, I think!

**Q: What is the average shelf life of this product once opened?**
A: mine is in the frig. still good 3-4 months later. my only complaint about this product is the bits of dried chili which should be stained out. provecho!

**Q: Is there cumin in this?**
A: Hi there, Fergus from Gran Luchito here. The Chipotle Paste does not have any cumin in it.

**Q: Can i use this instead of chipolte pepper adobo?**
A: I don't know if I fully understand what you are asking or its context, but I hope this helps.
Personally, I have used the Chipotle adobo sauce found in most grocery stores and have not liked the taste. This is a better product because it does not have additional flavor profiles. It's just Chipotle pepper processed into a paste. I use it to spice up chile soup or other Mexican dishes or mix it with olive oil or Caesar dressing to spice up roasted vegetables. I
If you are trying simply trying to find a substitute sauce, I would not recommend it because this is a paste, not a sauce. But, if you are looking to add chipotle flavor to a dish then this is the way to go. you probably only use about a teaspoon of this stuff at a time depending on your personal taste. Hope that helps.

This stuff is unique - it's not a sauce, it's an ingredient. Use it to make the best Chilli Con Carne you've ever made. Use it to spread on toast, topped with a runny fried egg, use it in soups, sparingly, to add a whole new taste dimension. Dip your finger in and enjoy it pure. Add to a bloody Mary to kick it up a notch, mix in with mince beef when making burgers, the possibilities are truly endless. An amazing, authentic ingredient, unlike anything else you can buy. Highly recommended!
