Beautifully written for children
I like that it has short readable, enjoyable Bible stories that present the story in a way a child can be introduced and enjoy. The pictures are nice. I’ve bought several children’s Bibles and this is by far my favorite based on the way it is written—respectful to the Word, and focused on the Redeemer.

Great book for Children
Great book. Really happy, nice hard cover with beautiful pictures. Separates the old testament with the New Testament. Stories are short and easy to follow for children. Has a few picture at the back of the book like the sacred staircase.

Better Than Expected !
I’m really impressed with the whole way this children’s bible is presented. It’s a lovely bright book with thick, glossy white paper and beautiful artwork on every page and the durable sewn binding means it should last many years. It lacks a ribbon marker though, which is a real shame, but I forgive that oversight because it remains true to the original book from the 1950’s and Revd. Lovasik’s unique style of writing. Containing all the stories you need to know from the Bible in order to understand the Christian Faith, it’s desirable for this reason alone. However, it’s special uniqueness lies in the fact that every story, from the Old Testament right through to the end of the New Testament, unravels an invisible thread that points to Jesus Christ; wherein history gradually unfolds to reveal God’s ancient plan of Salvation in His Son. It’s so much easier to understand and remember when the whole Bible is presented in this way.Although it is from the view point of the Catholic Church, as a Protestant I didn’t find this uncomfortable at all. Christians from all denominations would benefit from this lovely summary of the important stories that are foundational to our Faith.Especially beneficial to older children from the age of 7 upwards and informative enough for adults to enjoy as well. I really like reading it! Now to mention the concern of one reviewer - there’s only a very small section at the beginning of how Lucifer and his angels rebelled and fell, leading to Satan’s temptation of Eve. Personally I think that’s important for kids to understand, as Lucifer as “The Devil” then pops up as tempter to our Bible heroes, throughout various stories after that. It’s done in a subtle way though and does not dwell on evil or anything too frightening.I’m particularly impressed with the extras too, such as the brightly coloured map spreads inside both the front and back cover, along with the beautiful presentation page. We also have coloured photos and information on the Holy Land with suggested further reading at the back. The bright padded hard cover feels nice and tactile and the whole book is colourful and engaging. Well worth the reasonable price tag.
