I used this as a casting cement for a small art project where I had to embed hardware. It worked great and was easy to trowel before it hardened. I also liked that it left a very smooth surface like polished marble on the surfaces that were in contact with my mold.

This is a rock solid product. In fact it sets up rock solid in 15-20 minutes. Literally. I have been using it to install 12" long by 3/4" diameter forged steel anchor bolts in rock to fasten 1/2" steel cables for securing my dock to the shore here at Lake of the Ozarks. After a few years, the 3/4" anchors are sometimes bent over at 90 degrees because of the humongous cruisers - up to 70 feet long - that the egomaniacs here feel they must have to impress someone, but the Thorogrip cement still holds the anchor bolts in place. Amazing stuff. So easy to use - just mix with water to a "heavy batter" consistency and pour it in the hole alongside whatever you want anchored into rock or concrete. It sets in 15-20 minutes, but I leave it "just in case" overnight for the hard usage I give it. Wash your hands and tools (I use an old screwdriver for mixing in a tin can) in water for easy cleanup before it sets - don't wait too long, or else you have a lot of work on your hands.
