Hammer is well made and so are the punches. This is a pretty good set of punches. None of them has bent but I don't put them through any great torture. The hammer/mallet is a little cheesy but I did not purchase this set for the mallet. Also, I am not thrilled with the case but, again, it has nothing to do with the performance of the punches. Everything snaps in and doesn't move around so I guess it really doesn't matter.Overall, this is not a bad set of punches.
