## Description

HeatnBond SpraynBond Quilt Basting Adhesive Fabric Spray, 7.2 OZ (204g) is a temporary bond spray adhesive for fabric. Use it in your design phase for pattern piecing and determining applique placement. Great for holding templates onto fabric and assembling landscape quilts. Use it while sewing to eliminate pinning of appliques and hoop marks. Perfect for holding stabilizers onto fabrics during embroidery or holding backing fabric to batting. General Directions: Hold can upright, 12 inches from back of fabric surface. Press nozzle and apply adhesive to back of fabric surface in a sweeping (side to side) motion to lightly and evenly coat surface, making sure to cover all edges. Wait 30 seconds, then press sprayed item onto project while still tacky, repositioning as needed. Before storing, hold can upside down and press for a short burst to clear nozzle.Tips for best results: A little goes a long way; remember to apply a light coating from 12 inches away. When spraying on or near project, protect your project and workspace from any over-spray. Clean off work surface with soap and water, but please note that heavier applications may be difficult to remove from some surfaces.

Review: awesome - Absolutely LOVE this stuff. I bought it to hold my fabric together while sewing, but what I've used it for so far was sewing on patches to my boyfriend's cut (leather biker vest). It's temporary and washable, but dang.....I had never sewn patches before and it was a difficult project for me with a bulky leather jacket on a regular home sewing machine, but with all the rolling and twisting I had to do, the patches didn't budge and stayed flat as a pancake. I also sewed the edges of a fat quarter, then sprayed the whole back of it and plopped it on top of my washing machine. No more slipping and sliding every time I open the door! No more scratches on my machine no matter how hard my boyfriend tries to destroy it!!! lol... It's a little sticky on my fingers, but once dry, which is very very quickly, it rolls off like tacky glue. No smells...and it comes out clear, and if you use a lot, it's white...not sure what happens after it dries because those parts are hidden now. I didn't notice any issues with it gumming up my needle either. I'll update if any issues come up, but I doubt it!!

## Questions & Answers

**Q: has anyone tried using this for sublimation**
A: I use it for sublimating on fabrics but it doesn't work well with glass or other harder substrates

**Q: I got some of the spray on an area of my fabric I didn’t want it, and it makes it look like there is a permanent wet spot there. How do I clean it off**
A: You can remove it with soap and water, or you can try Murphy's Oil Soap and a sponge.

**Q: Can this be used to hold fabric on an embroidery machine? Does it gum up needles.**
A: I would think using it that way would be no problem. I've used it for 4 years and I haven't experienced it gumming up the needle. You don't spray the fabric heavily , just lightly.

**Q: If not washed out, does this become a permanent adhesive?**
A: No, it eventually lets loose if not washed.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ For Assembling Textile Projects
*by M***9 on December 30, 2018*

I bought this initially to help me assemble some trivets and bread basket liners I was making, and it works very well for that purpose. For the bread basket liners, I stitched around 3 sides, sprayed one side, placed the batting on it and pressed it in place, and it stayed while I turned it right side out and topstitched. Then, I helped a friend cut out about a million tiny little pieces for a project she was making, and we sprayed the pattern pieces, then glued them to the felt to be cut. I have to say, it worked like a charm! It would have been impossible to pin those pieces, some of which were 1/2" x 4" or 1" x 2", and cut accurately. This does dry out after a time, and it will come out in the washer. It's a great item, and I've purchased it a couple of times for projects I made during this holiday season. One thing to note is that you should put your project on paper before you spray it, because it's a real pain to take off your table or counter: I had to scrape it off my counter the first time, so now I only spray with newspaper under my project.
