I spent quite a bit of time searching for an alternative to loofahs. Not only do loofahs gross me out by how much bacteria they can harbor 🤢 but they are also extremely wasteful. I was tired of contributing to the landfills. Anyway. I was skeptical of this, but IT IS AMAZING! It’s soft but exfoliating, it makes your soap go so much further with how easily it lathers, and it will last you a year! I love that you can just soak it in vinegar once a month and you’re good to go! I make sure to rinse out ALL the soap and really squeeze out the water before I hang it up to dry. 10/10 Review: Better than sea grass sponge - I bought both this and the sea grass sponge at the same time. This one is better in several ways. Being a natural sponge I expected individual qualities and this particular one is softer on one side than the other, but I'm good with that since I like to 'scrub' some areas when washing, and treat other areas more gently. This size is a bit big for face washing but can be used for that and works in the shower as well. It is sturdier than the sea grass sponge that sheds a lot, is too soft for showering and had a hard 'stem' I had to cut out in order to use it at all.
