Review: A great light, worth the extra money. - Although a bit expensive for what it is, this is a great little lamp, especially for modelers/crafters. Even with an overhead light using (2) 100w equivalent LED bulbs, my room still had dark areas around the sides, and my head would throw shadows across my work space. I was looking for a swing-arm LED lap that I could add to my desk and after viewing a number of cheaper options on desertcart, I decided to go with the Phive based on the glowing reviews. The lamp works great and has almost all of the adjustability that I need for my space. The only thing I would consider lacking is the head movement is limited to swivel and rotate. There is no up/down (pitch) control which could be a problem if you need to get the light focused in on something. However, after mounting the light to the back of my desk and not the side, it works fine for me. The mounting piece is the only other real downside, simply because of how large it is. It is able to clamp to a 3" thick desk, but on a thinner desk, especially one with a "back' like mine, you can't get it tight without warping the back. However, to solve this I flipped the mount upside down so that the clamping part fits onto the lip of the glass top on my desk without interfering with the wood "back". The mounting piece has holes on the top and bottom allowing you to flip it, however, the "lock" only exists when mounting it upright. If you put the second o-ring (included but was not installed on my unit) onto the shaft of the light fixture, it sits in the mounting piece very tightly and does not need the locking piece at all. Hopefully, my included pictures make this more clear. A great light overall, very bright and only slightly blue-er than daylight. A tad expensive, but well built.
Review: So far so good - I've been using this light for several days now, and the experience is very good so far. What I've asked for my desk lamp is space-saving, adjustable and doesn't get in the way (of both other things and my eyes). This lamp does this quite well. A clamp means that you don't need a base to sit on the desk, which would usually take around 10cm x 10cm of space. And the arms are long, so you can put this way above your head, and the brightness doesn't decrease too much at the desk surface. The arms are of good quality. You can't expect it to be super firm, meaning that if you wiggle them on purpose, it still shakes a little bit. But the arms are quite sturdy and seem like they can stay reliable for a long time as long as you don't try to give them a stress test on purpose. The arms can be adjusted in a broad range, but I'm not requiring this feature very much yet. I'm not an architect. ("Then why do you buy this anyway?" lol). Although this lamp does come with a tunable brightness feature, I don't find that very useful though. I'm always at the brightest stage. What might be useful is changing the color temperature, but this lamp doesn't have that feature. Just a little con though. This mostly won't affect daily use. I'm just starting to construct a personal working desk in my new place. While dreaming about setting up a desk top PC, getting dual monitors, a fancy keyboard, and all that stuff, this lamp was actually the first step I took. Something I'm always worried about when buying anything from desertcart, though, is durability. Just hope that this lamp would survive for one year or even more. If it reaches three or even five years (and witness me get my Ph.D.), I think I would finally give six stars to this 60 dollars I've spent.

**Q: how many lumens does this lamp produce?**
A: Short Answer: For me it is around 450 lumens as it depends. It is, however, an excellent lamp and would recommend it.Long answer: In the included manual the given Illuminance was as follows: 40cm Distance>1100 LuxWe know that lux is used to measure the amount of light output in a given area or lux=lumens/meters^2In other words, the lumens will depend on the distance from the light source to the illuminated area. Lets say the area you are going to illuminate is 65cm away currently my setup at around 25 inches then you will get the following:1100 Lux*0.635 cm^2=450 Lumens. However, this only works for my specific case. Hope this helps!

**Q: Has anyone else gotten radio interference? when i turn it on, my radio goes to static (i know, who listens to radio these days).**
A: YES. I still do listen to radio and this lamp blows out my favorite station completely (and only degrades others). I get a good radio signal, but not when this lamp is on.

**Q: I need to make adjustments to the light position frequently. Wil it hold up to that or will it get flimsy?**
A: Very sturdy.   Have had this for several months using it as a light on my computer desk.   Adjusted it once when I took it out of the box and haven't touched it since.   There is a Allen wrench included with light to tighten joints.   I have never even used it.   Like I said, very sturdy.

**Q: I am looking for a new drawing table led desk. 
Will this put out sufficient light in a dark room to draw with? does it wobble easily?**
A: The lamp puts out sufficient light to draw in. We use it as a lamp over a sewing table in a dark basement. The mounting base is metallic and very sturdy and will not wobble. This lamp is also dimmable by tapping/touching a button on the lamp top. Good Quality light. you can purchase and optional base for the lamp instead of the clamp.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Almost perfect

The lamp seems well made and looks sleek. My computer desk is a 3-foot wide door propped on legs. The lamp clips to the back edge and reaches over my computer monitor or beside it and can be quickly and effortlessly be aimed almost anywhere. Light can be bounced off the ceiling, directed at the copy stand beside my computer or at the keyboard on a shelf that slide from beneath the door. Having LEDs built in instead of adding bulbs makes the light slim and light and much easier to position than any light I've ever owned. My only wish would be a switch to change to warm light. The light is VERY WHITE.
