If I had paid $450 for this projector, would I be happy with it? Absolutely not! But I only paid about a tenth of that, so I’m willing to overlook a couple flaws. Sound is good, picture is decent, and it’s relatively quiet. That said, it’s impossible to get focused across the entire picture if you are using any of the keystone correction, because you are just manually moving the mirror to square the corners. When using keystone. To avoid this problem, you have to mount it in such a way that the lense is straight on, which would basically put it right by your head. At that close range, you will notice a lot more noise, as well as heat coming from the left aide of the unit. Kind of a catch-22, so you have to decide which is more important. We’re using it in an RV in order to get a large-screen TV experience without the weight and bulkiness, and it works great for that! We just hook up the FireStick and we can watch just about anything. If you want to watch DVD’s and/or any other HDMI source, you will need a switcher device of some sort. Sure, you can plug/unplug in order to switch sources, but I wouldn’t recommend it. Plugs and sockets can wear out quickly when you do that. (Trust me, we have an older TV that had this happen, so one of the ports is unusable now.) The other issue is one that I think others complained about, that dust collects between the lense & mirror, and it is definitely noticeable on the screen.
