Their innovative OPTIWEB coating protects every winding from corrosion and debris, extending tone life beyond any other coated or uncoated strings. Sold as a 3-pack with one set free, these USA-made strings offer professional-grade feel and durability, perfect for serious players seeking consistent performance and exceptional value. ## Description Feel what you play. Play what you feel. Thanks to our new OPTIWEB Coating, these nickel-plated steel electric guitar strings give you the performance of a natural string-that crisp tone, natural feel and playable grip you know and love-without sacrificing the signature long-lasting tone life of Elixir Strings. And now for a limited time, you get 3 sets of amazing strings for the price of 2! With that extra free set, you'll be set for a long, long, long time... Compared to our POLYWEB Coating and NANOWEB Coating, the OPTIWEB Coating offers our most natural and familiar feel. This lightweight coating allows the string to vibrate with less damping, while also having a firm grip, putting you in control of bends, vibrato and sustain. So choose the same premium electric guitar strings that experienced players worldwide trust to keep their incredible tone longer than any other string available. Unlike other string brands, Elixir Strings coats the whole string. This protects not only the outer string surface but also the gaps between the windings where common tone-deadening gunk typically builds up in other brands’ coated and uncoated guitar strings. Anti-Rust Plating on plain steel strings ensures longer tone life for the entire set. Who wouldn’t love more quality playing time between the hassle and cost of string changes? For a slicker, gentler feel, try a set of electric guitar strings with our POLYWEB Coating, which also feature our warmest tone. Meanwhile, our NANOWEB Coated strings sound bright and feel smooth, striking a dynamic balance between POLYWEB Coating and OPTIWEB Coating. Of course, the kind of string you play is all a matter of personal preference. Not sure what tone or feel is right for you? Try them out for yourself, and find your new favorite string from Elixir Strings. Elixir Strings: Great tone. Long life. Does this have something extra?** A: Don’t buy it. **Q: Do these work with a First Act electric guitar?** A: If it's an electric guitar with magnetic pickup in the usual places, then they'll work just fine. I never heard of "First Act" guitars though. **Q: How many strings in a set?** A: There are six strings in each set. **Q: What is the difference between the nanoweb guitar strings and the optiweb?** A: The coating is thinner on the optiwebs than the nanowebs, giving the strings a more "natural" feel, and a bit brighter tone. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ They're built to last *by S***M on 5 February 2025* Amazing tone, lasted a year and half but then again it varies from person to person.
