Review: This Pad is a Godsend - After reading other reviews, I ordered this pad with lowered expectations. The pad has easily exceeded them. I'm so grateful I found it. I have searched for several months to a solution to my saddle sores and general aching (which stem from general fat loss in my derrière) when I ride my bike for more than 20-30 minutes. I've tried 4 different bike seats, including the Cloud 9 bike seat. None of them worked well although I did find significant improvement with the Schwinn Extra Wide Saddle Seat: [...] But even this seat left me feeling sore after 30 minutes. It wasn't until I rode with this gel pad atop the Schwinn wide seat that I realized I had found what I really needed. The pad is just right in thickness for my needs and the slight "gelly" feel to it probably helps prevent the saddle sores that I got from my butt bones grinding against the base of the bike seat. I sometimes ride with the pad untethered to the seat. It has a non-skid bottom and so it won't move around while I'm riding. That way I can easily transfer the pad onto a park bench or a wooden church pew when I arrive at my destination. It really helps in those situations too. Tonight I took my long trip of 2 hours. I have no saddle sores or discomfort of any kind. I really love this thing. Review: Kinda, sorta, maybe - Well-made, fits perfectly on my exercise bike. Only problem is that it does very little to relieve my coccyx pain, which is why I bought it in the first place. Better than nothing, but not really. ## Features - Thickest Gel Pad Available for Bikes - 1 1/2" Thick - Made for Medium to Wide Seats from 9" to 11" wide - Made in USA - Gel and Lycra materials for indoor or outdoor use ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B000N55OWG | | Auto Part Position | Front | | Best Sellers Rank | #2,260,788 in Sports & Outdoors ( See Top 100 in Sports & Outdoors ) #5,081 in Bike Saddles | | Brand | DerriAir | | Brand Name | DerriAir | | Color | Black | | Customer Reviews | 4.0 out of 5 stars 47 Reviews | | Fit Type | Universal Fit | | Item Weight | 4 pounds | | Manufacturer | DerriAir | | Material | 100% Memoflex® Gel, Lycra | | Material Type | 100% Memoflex® Gel, Lycra | | Model Number | amadermed | ## Product Details - **Fit Type:** Universal Fit - **Brand:** DerriAir - **Color:** Black - **Manufacturer:** DerriAir ## Images ![1-1/2" Thick - 9" to 11" Wide Bicycle Seat Cover / Gel Pad - Medium - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/210meNO4P1L.jpg) ![1-1/2" Thick - 9" to 11" Wide Bicycle Seat Cover / Gel Pad - Medium - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51EfGnLKZbL.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This Pad is a Godsend *by B***D on February 15, 2014* After reading other reviews, I ordered this pad with lowered expectations. Only problem is that it does very little to relieve my coccyx pain, which is why I bought it in the first place. Better than nothing, but not really. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Could be thicker *by B***N on July 16, 2013* This is just an okay product for me. I needed it for a stationary bike and it still kills my back so the seat just isn't as thick as I would have thought. I didn't return it because it was an improvement over the concrete seat on my Stationary bike. Just keep your expectations low and maybe you'll be pleasantly surprised. ## Frequently Bought Together - 1-1/2" Thick - 9" to 11" Wide Bicycle Seat Cover / Gel Pad - Medium - N3od3er Comfortable Bicycle Saddle for Exercise and Road Bicycle Oversized Comfort Seat for Stationary Extra Wide Replacement Padded Bike Saddle Cushion for Women and Men (Noseless) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.pt/products/3667427-1-1-2-thick-9-to-11-wide-bicycle-seat](https://www.desertcart.pt/products/3667427-1-1-2-thick-9-to-11-wide-bicycle-seat) --- *Product available on Desertcart Portugal* *Store origin: PT* *Last updated: 2026-10-18*
