Old-timers use it as a laundry stain remover and pre-treater, a general laundry soap, or to wash off poison ivy resin after contact. Our customers tell us they still use it in the laundry, and as a general cleaner for floors, tubs and showers. Each bar 4-3/4" x 2-1/4" (5-1/2-oz). USA made. Ingredients (as listed on package): Cleaners, soil & stain removers, chelating agents, colorants, perfume. CONTAINS NO NAPHTHALENE. Made in USA.

Review: Bonne odeur - L'odeur de ce savon à lessive rappelle celui de la lessive de mes grand-mères. Agréable. Aussi, très efficace pour nettoyer le blanc lorsque combiné avec du Borax et du soda à lessive. Dans un pot Mason de 1 litre (grande ouverture), faire tremper 1/2 barre de savon haché fin dans 1 tasse d'eau bouillante pendant 1 nuit. Ajouter 1/2 tasse de Borax et 1/2 tasse de soda à lessive, puis mettre de l'eau chaude jusqu'aux épaules du pot. Passer le tout au malaxeur (blender) pendant 2 minutes. À la fin, ça doit avoir la consistence d'une sauce ou de yaourt brassé. Si c'est trop épais, ajouter de l'eau chaude et malaxer de nouveau. On met 1 à 2 cuillères à soupe par brassée. Économique. Ça nettoie super bien.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Is this septic safe?**
A: I don't think it is septic safe as a regular additive to laundry soap. Some people make their own soap and include Fels Naptha. I wouldn't do that if I had a septic system as it would kill the bacteria. If you're just using a small amount rubbed onto a single stubborn stain, and sue it only for the toughest stains, then it might be ok as it would be in minute amounts. But don't add it as a booster in your detergent.

**Q: Will it remove grease stains that have been previously washed and dried but are still there?**
A: Sometimes. Prob depends on the size and age of the stain. I can usually get at least half of nasty big grease stains out, and about half the time get the whole thing out. The bar is much better than Shout Out.

**Q: Is this for use in he washer?**
A: Yes. The bars are meant to be rubbed onto stubborn stains prior to running the washing machine.

**Q: What's the full ingredients list please? Does this have fragrance or essential oils?**
A: Soap (Sodium Tallowate*, Sodium Cocoate* (or) Sodium Palmate Kernelate*, and Sodium Palmate*), Water, Talc, Dipentene, Coconut Acid*, Palm Acid*, Tallow Acid*, PEG-6 Methyl Ether, Glycerin, Sodium Chloride, Pentasodium Pentetate, Tetrasodium Etidronate, Titanium Dioxide, Triclocarban, Fragrance, Acid Orange 24, Acid Yellow 73*Contains One or More of these Ingredients.
