**Q: Will this work well if applied directly to the studs then 1 layer of drywall? Would this be more effective than 1/8" soundproofing tape?**
A: The way to do that would be to decouple the drywall and the studs with resilient clips or channels.

**Q: can you use this on the back of an outdoor fence to muffle roadnoise?**
A: This is not really meant for outdoor use.

**Q: Willl this work with an existing single wall construction house as an additional layer to reduce sound transmission?**
A: I used it in conjuction with a second layer of drywall. It needs the second layer to spread the liquid over the surface of the first layer. Look it up on YouTube. There are a few instructional videos that explain the use rather well.

**Q: I'm adding a layer of drywall to a plaster wall. Do I need to paint primer on the plaster wall first?**
A: No reason to in regards to the Green Glue with drywall. You do want to make sure the wall is smooth though, by sanding it down if necessary.
