I don't think this product is designed to be used on grass, only on hard surfaces such as cement or flooring. Even then the sharpness of the aluminum under the rubber tip it might eventually break through. I am very disappointed as it worked just as I had hoped the first time I used it."The cane came on time. I used it yesterday and it worked well. We belong to a couples putting club at a par 3 putting course and the holes get backed up. It really helped alleviate my aching back while waiting my turn in line at each hole. I was able to use it in the grass on uneven surfaces as long as I made sure the terrain wasn't too sloped. I am pleased." ### ⭐⭐ Rubber tip failed in less than an hour *by W***D on Reviewed in the United States on March 25, 2018* I returned this item after one hour of use. The metal tube punched through the rubber tip because the manufacturer is using the wrong kind of tip. Amazon sells the correct tip for this type of tube under the name "Walker and Cane Tips with Metal Inserts". The metal inserts keep a hollow metal tube from punching through the rubber. I'm sure these tips were a few cents less costly to the manufacturer but the choice to save a few cents results in a product that fails quickly in normal use. Also, at 6' 1" tall, the cane part of this was about four inches too short for me. It will probably be fine for someone who is shorter. The grip on the handle is not high quality and tends to slide on the curved shaft making it unstable for someone who really needs a cane for stability.
